I am so, so, so relieved that it is September. I’ll be the first to admit that I dislike summertime, I think I may even despise it. This summer in particular has been more intolerable than others.
Autumn shall forever be my favorite season. There is nothing more glorious than those crisp mornings spent sipping a cup of coffee and knitting. I relish the feeling. Though I do have to admit, the beginning of September doesn’t exactly cool down automatically. Fact is, even into October it can be warm here in Oklahoma. However, what September does do for me is give me hope. Hope that it will be autumn, and it will cool down, and I will get to enjoy those beautiful, lovely mornings I so look forward to.
I’m even trying to herald in the cool weather. I started a crochet doily blanket this morning; the color of the yarn is called “Autumn Red”. I’m hoping this will help. I’m also working on finishing the sweater I started last month, I’m not quite to the 50% mark, but I am bound and determined to have it done by October. It will be the perfect cardigan for those chilly days.
Now please pardon me while I go downstairs with my knitting, grab a cup of coffee, and sit in front of the air conditioner…
